ABOUT THE PUBLICATION PROCESS

IAM FAME JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION RESEARCH (JIER) A RESEARCH JOURNAL of the International Association of Multicultural and Filipino-American Educators, Inc. (IAM FAME, Inc.). To publish your research in the IAM FAME Journal of International Educational Research, you must follow a structured two-stage process: the Conference Phase (Abstract Submission) and the Publication Phase (Full Manuscript Submission).

I. Submission Phases

1. The Abstract Phase (Initial Screening)
Before submitting a full paper, an abstract must be approved by the Editorial Review Board.
  • Word Count: 200–250 words (Strict).
  • Keywords: Exactly three (3) keywords.
  • Format: Corbell font, size 11 (Title: Bold, size 14).
  • Content: Must include the research problem, methodology, and primary findings/contributions. Do not include references or graphics in the abstract.
  • Review Time: 3–5 business days.
2. The Full Manuscript Phase (Publication)
Once your abstract is accepted and registration is confirmed, you may submit your full paper for the Journal/Proceedings.
  • Originality: Papers must describe original, unpublished results. Submission implies the work is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Format: Must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • Submission Email: Send to info@iamfame.uno.

II. Technical Manuscript Guidelines

Structure of the Paper
Your manuscript should typically follow this organizational flow:
  1. Title Page: Full title, all authors' names ( Given name, Middle Initial, Surname 1 ), Position, Institutional Affiliation, Country, Email address.
  2. Abstract & Keywords: As approved in Phase 1.
  3. Introduction: Background, significance of the study, and research questions.
  4. Literature Review: Theoretical framework and existing research context.
  5. Methodology: Research design, participants/data sources, and analysis techniques.
  6. Results & Discussion: Clear presentation of data and its implications.
  7. Conclusion: Summary of findings and recommendations for future research.
  8. References: Use consistent scholarly formatting (APA is generally preferred for educational research).
Formatting Constraints
  • Font: Corbel throughout the document.
  • Abbreviations: Must be defined at first mention (e.g., Multilingual Learners (MLs)).
  • Mathematics: Avoid complex formulas unless essential; render clearly.
  • Visuals: Tables and charts must be high-resolution and clearly labeled. (Note: These are allowed in the Full Paper, though prohibited in the Abstract).

III. Ethical & Legal Requirements

  • Peer Review: All full papers undergo a double-blind peer-review process by the IAM FAME referees.
  • Publication Rights: By submitting, authors grant IAM FAME JIER the right to publish the work in hard copy or electronic formats (Journal/Proceedings Book).
  • Registration Requirement: At least one author must be a registered conference participant for the paper to be included in the Journal.
  • Plagiarism: IAM FAME JIER maintains a zero-tolerance policy for plagiarism. All scripts are screened for originality.

IV. Submission Checklist

  • [ ] Abstract is between 200–250 words.
  • [ ] Document is saved as: Family name_First name_abstract.doc (e.g., Timbol_Eleuterio_abstract.doc).
  • [ ] Biography (max 50 words) is included on a separate page.
  • [ ] Publication fee $550 receipt of payment email sent to info@iamfame.uno.

IAM FAME JIER CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS
All accepted abstracts for IAM FAME JIER will be published in the conference abstract book with an associated ISSN . All full papers will be reviewed through a double blind reviewing process and published electronically with an ISBN/ISSN number in the proceedings.
